Parachute pants are back this fall season and we did not see them coming – even though we should have.
Over the past few years, we’ve firmly closed the door on skinny jeans, moving on to the looser cut mom jeans, and more recently into jeans and trousers with a wide, straight leg.
We even got back into cargo pants this year. We guess the next logical progression was straight on to the roomiest of pants – the parachute pant.
If you love the feel of fabric rustling against your legs in a cool breeze, these are the pants for you.
All jokes aside, we totally get why these are popular. These pants highlight the waist and cascade straight down the legs for a flattering look.
Some have a band at the ankle to be tucked into boots or show off a high heel.
You can dress it up with a blazer, trench coat and heels or dress it down with a sneaker and cable knit sweater.
